Reasons:

The Deebot vacuum will not charge for 4 reasons. The most common reason is when you forget to turn on the machine. But if the charging dock isn’t plugged in, it won’t charge even when the power is ON. It also happens if there’s no connection between the Charging Dock Pins and Charging Contacts.

You should also check if the battery is discharged or not. A discharged Deebot vacuum battery won’t charge at all.

Solution:

To solve the Deboot battery charging issue, first, you have to check whether the Power button is ON. You’ll find the Power Button on the side of the vacuum. Simply, push the ‘I’ side of the button, and the vacuum will be activated.

Then, plug on the charging Dock until the battery is fully charged. It will prevent battery consumption issues.

Again, you must ensure that the Charging Dock Pins and Charging Contacts are connected. For this, you should move the vacuum manually and take it near the Charging Dock Pins to make the connection.

Another way to revamp the charging issue is to re-activate the battery. To do this, you have to remove the charging connection from the charging dock. Repeat the process 3 times. Then, charge the vacuum as you normally do.

You won’t have any charging issues anymore.

The robot is dirty and tangled with a lot of debris. Clean the Side Brushes and Main Brushes of the robot.

The Deebot Vacuum won’t clean the area automatically at a scheduled time for 4 reasons. Firstly, if you cancel the time Scheduled function, the vacuum won’t respond to your command.

Again, the vacuum won’t clean if the power is OFF or the battery is low. Finally, if the vacuum components, such as the side and main Brushes are dirty, they won’t clean at your scheduled time.

Reason Solution
The robot doesn’t support the Wi-Fi protocol. Change the Wi-fi router to the robot-supporting bandwidth.
The vacuum is not connected to the device or network. Enable mobile data or Wi-fi and reset network settings.

The Deebot vacuum doesn’t respond to Google Home when the robot doesn’t support the bandwidth of the Wi-Fi. Also, it won’t work if the device isn’t connected to the network.

Solution

To ensure that the Deebot doesn’t go offline, you should ensure the robot supports the Wi-Fi protocol at 802.11b/g/n 2.4G IPv4. You should change the Wi-Fi that supports either 2.4GHz (single band) or a mixed network of 2.4GHz/5GHz.

In case your home router is a dual-band router, you should avoid the 5GHz SSID and choose the 2.4GHz network. Before you configure the network, make sure you connect your mobile phone to the Wi-Fi and disable the Data Service.

You should apply the following steps to set up the network.

  • First, open the device App on your phone and go to “Add Device.”
  • Then, follow these instructions respectively: Connect to Home Wi-Fi>Turn On>Reset Button.
  • After that, you’ll hear a voice prompt of “Entering Network Setup Mode.” By hearing this, you should tap on “Next.”
  • Then, enable the Location permission for the App in the mobile phone setting.
  • Finally, connect the Deboot vacuum to the phone’s network.

Problem 5: Deebot Goes Offline

Reason Solution
The vacuum is switched OFF. Switch ON the vacuum.
The battery of the vacuum is low-power. Recharge the battery.
Wi-Fi router failure, and the internet connection isn’t working. Connect the robot to the Wi-Fi network.
Wi-fi Router Issues Inspect the Wi-Fi settings and change them to support the Deebot vacuum.

The Deebot vacuum goes offline for 3 reasons. It happens when the vacuum is switched off, and the battery power is low. But the major reason is when the internet connection doesn’t work due to a different router connection.

It’s also an issue when the Wi-Fi router has problems like the network isn’t working after changing the name/password or problems with the security settings.

Solution

So, the first thing you have to do is turn on the switch of the Deebot Vacuum. If you notice the battery is low, recharge the battery. Take the vacuum near the charging dock and plug in the connections.

Then, make sure the robot is receiving a strong internet connection. Wi-Fi should have an excellent network. If you have more than one router, you need to connect each of them to the robot. But make sure you turn off the extenders. The connection should be made directly with the Wi-Fi router.

Now, if there are Wi-Fi router issues, you should fix them by setting the same password to all connected routers. Make the same changes to all of the routers. Then, reset the Deebot robot to check the connection.

Problem 6: Deebot Wrong Time

A lot of the time, you might see the Deebot isn’t working according to your scheduled time. It shows a different time zone which doesn’t align with your schedule.

It happens because the default time setting uses a different time zone. The robot needs a reset of the time zone. Also, it doesn’t have any synchronization with your mobile phone. So, the Deebot vacuum shows the wrong time.

The vacuum driving wheels to have hair and debris tangled in them. Untangle the obstructions from the wheel.
The Bumper rail got stuck. Press the Bumper Rail button on the side to rebound it automatically.

Sometimes you might notice that the Deebot vacuum keeps moving around in circles. It happens when the Anti-Drop sensors are covered up in dust. Again, this situation arises when the driving wheels are stuck because of tangled hair and debris. Another reason is the bumper rail is stuck somewhere.

Solution

The main solution here is to clean the vacuum thoroughly. You should take a damp cloth and wipe the sensors. Then, untangle any hair or debris from the driving Wheels.

If the bumper rail is stuck, you have to press the side of the bumper rail. Let the robot rebound automatically. But if you still notice the same problem, you should contact ECOVACS Customer Service.
